Council approves sale of city-owned Villard Avenue properties
On Thursday (July 31) the Common Council approved the sale of city-owned W. Villard Ave. properties that will soon get new life.
Alderwoman Pratt said Lincoln Creek Development plans to redevelop the properties for use as a theater space that will include live performances.
Council file #250531 authorized the sale of the city-owned tax deed property at 4124 W. Villard Ave., also in the 1st Aldermanic District. Alderwoman Pratt said the buyer for the property is Corner Stone Memorial Funeral Services, LLC, which will redevelop the property for use as a funeral home.
Alderwoman Pratt said she wants to thank the Department of City Development for “their hard work in marketing the properties and finding the right buyers.”
“These are important commercial properties in my district, and DCD did an outstanding job – I’m very grateful,” she said.
