“Earlier this week, House Republican leadership took their marching orders from unelected billionaire Elon Musk and Donald Trump, destroying a bipartisan agreement to keep the government open.

I am pleased that this legislation removes Trump’s reckless demand to lift the debt ceiling, which would have paved the way for his multi-trillion-dollar tax cuts to the wealthy and big corporations. Today, I voted yes.”
