Community Safety Remains Top Priority for the Brady Street BID

By - Oct 29th, 2025 12:08 pm

The Brady Street Business Improvement District (BID) remains deeply committed to fostering a safe and welcoming environment on Brady Street and in the surrounding neighborhood. Halloween celebrations on October 25 quickly drew larger than anticipated crowds, which presented unexpected challenges outside of BID sanctioned programming. We are extremely grateful for the hard work of the Milwaukee Police Department and private security for enacting plans to mitigate the chaos and end the night safely without any major incidents.

Brady Street businesses expect everyone coming to our street to abide by city ordinances and state laws, which prohibit behaviors that led to Saturday’s chaos. Loitering, underage drinking, carrying open alcohol containers, and public intoxication not only violate these laws, but also disrupt the experience for others and will not be tolerated.

Extended security detail will be patrolling Brady Street throughout the coming weekend, and the BID will continue to work with MPD and city officials to create a safe and vibrant neighborhood where everyone can enjoy themselves responsibly.
