Committee to Review Ordinance on Lifesaving Sprinkler Permit Fee Waivers Tomorrow
The Zoning, Neighborhoods & Development Committee, during its meeting on Tuesday, February 24, will take up File #251635, an ordinance aimed at reducing the burden of city permit fees for lifesaving sprinkler system installations in apartment buildings.
“This ordinance is about making it easier and more cost-effective for property owners to improve fire safety in their buildings, and help save lives,” said Alderman Burgelis. “By reducing financial barriers to sprinkler installation, we’re encouraging proactive upgrades that protect residents and our community.”
The committee hearing will begin at 9:00 a.m. in Room 301-B at City Hall and is open to the public. The meeting will also be streamed live on the City Channel (channel 25 on Spectrum Cable and channel 99 on AT&T U-Verse in the City of Milwaukee) and via streaming video on the city website at city.milwaukee.gov/Channel25.
