City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works 2025 Christmas Holiday Schedules

The City of Milwaukee Department of Public Works (DPW) offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday.

Garbage, Recycling, and Drop-Off Centers:

• There will be no garbage and recycling pick-up on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25. Reminder – collection days shift forward after each City holiday. Review your collection schedule here.

• Drop-Off Centers will also be closed on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25.

Parking Enforcement:

• No parking meter or hourly restriction enforcement on Thursday, December 25.

• No overnight parking enforcement on Wednesday night into Thursday morning (December 25 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.) and Thursday night into Friday morning (December 26 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.). However, vehicles still must be legally parked and not in violation of any posted parking regulations.

• Night parking enforcement resumes on Friday night into Saturday morning (December 27 from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m.).

• If a Snow Emergency is declared Snow Emergency regulations take precedence. Visit milwaukee.gov/parking for more information.

Tow Lot:

• The tow lot is open Wednesday, December 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. It is closed on Thursday, December 25.

Milwaukee Water Works:

•The Water Works Customer Service Center at 841 N. Broadway will be closed for the holiday on Wednesday, December 24 and Thursday, December 25 for in-person and live telephone assistance.

•Automated account information and bill payment will remain available by calling (414) 286-2830.

•Customers can pay their Municipal Services Bill and check account balances online anytime at milwaukee.gov/water.

•Questions concerning billing or making payments can be emailed to watwebcs@milwaukee.gov or calling Customer Service the following business day.

•For water emergencies, customers are asked to call the 24-hour Control Center at (414) 286-3710.

Departamento de Obras Públicas Horarios del feriado de Navidad 2025

Las oficinas del Departamento de Obras Públicas (DPW, por sus siglas en inglés) de la Ciudad de Milwaukee estarán cerradas el miércoles 24 de diciembre y el jueves 25 de diciembre por el feriado de Navidad.

Basura, Reciclaje y Centros de Entrega (Drop-Off):

• No habrá recolección de basura ni reciclaje el miércoles 24 de diciembre ni el jueves 25 de diciembre. Recordatorio: los días de recolección se recorren hacia adelante después de cada feriado de la Ciudad. Revise su calendario de recolección aquí.

• Los Centros de Entrega (Drop-Off Centers) también estarán cerrados el miércoles 24 de diciembre y el jueves 25 de diciembre.

Control de Estacionamiento:

• No se aplicarán las restricciones de parquímetros ni de estacionamiento por hora el jueves 25 de diciembre.

• No habrá control de estacionamiento nocturno desde la noche del miércoles hasta la mañana del jueves (25 de diciembre, de 2:00 a.m. a 6:00 a.m.) ni desde la noche del jueves hasta la mañana del viernes (26 de diciembre, de 2:00 a.m. a 6:00 a.m.). Sin embargo, los vehículos deben estar estacionados legalmente y no violar ninguna regulación de estacionamiento señalizada.

• El control de estacionamiento nocturno se reanuda desde la noche del viernes hasta la mañana del sábado (27 de diciembre, de 2:00 a.m. a 6:00 a.m.).

• La información automatizada de cuentas y el pago de facturas seguirán disponibles llamando al (414) 286-2830.
