Children’s Wisconsin Welcomes Benjamin Mansalis, MD, as Chief Information and Digital Officer

MILWAUKEE, Wis., May 12, 2025 — Today, Benjamin Mansalis, MD, joins Children’s Wisconsin as chief information and digital officer. He will lead the Information Services team and shape digital, analytics and technology strategies.

In this role, Dr. Mansalis’ responsibilities will include ongoing efforts to integrate technology, advance digital innovation, ensure cybersecurity, optimize Children’s gold-star-rated Epic platform. He will further develop organizational governance and establish a roadmap to enhance care delivery, operational efficiency, and the overall child and family experience.

Dr. Mansalis started his career as a technologist before earning a medical degree. He is a fellowship-trained physician and information technology executive with 25 years of experience solving real-world health care problems. Most recently, he served as chief digital and information officer and senior vice president at Indiana University Health. Prior to that, Dr. Mansalis served as vice president and chief information officer for INTEGRIS Health, Oklahoma’s largest clinically integrated health care network.

He has led comprehensive Epic implementation and optimization work, and established multiple innovations across many health care contexts including virtual care, hospital-at-home, remote monitoring and digital front-door strategies. In recognition of his leadership, the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives recognized him as Innovator of the Year 2021.

Dr. Mansalis received his medical degree from Albany Medical College in New York. He completed his residency and fellowship through Kaiser Permanente in California and served in clinical roles as an ambulatory internist and acute care hospitalist.
