Charges Issued Against Suspects in Brutal Homicide Investigation
Milwaukee, WI (February 9, 2021) On February 9, 2021, the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office issued charges against two males, ages 17 and 15, stemming from the brutal assault and death of Ms. Ee Lee. Ms. Lee was found beaten and assaulted in Washington Park on September 16, 2020. She died three days later at an area hospital.
The Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office charged both suspects with first-degree intentional homicide as a party to a crime, a Class A felony carrying a penalty of life imprisonment if convicted, and first-degree sexual assault as a party to a crime, a Class B felony carrying up to 60 years in prison if convicted.
Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell R. Lucas issued the following statement regarding today’s charging decision, “The evidence presented to the District Attorney’s Office by the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division showed a sequence of events that led to Ms. Lee’s death and that the two individuals in custody bear responsibility for this tragedy. Our investigation remains open and active as we attempt to identify others who may potentially have information or were possibly involved in the death of Ms. Lee.
