Chamber Music at the Waelderhaus on March 4

KOHLER, WIS – February 22, 2018 – Arts at the Waelderhaus begins its’ 2018 season with Milwaukee composers Craig Peaslee and Mark Mantel presenting an intimate afternoon of chamber music. The performance will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 4.
Peaslee’s Suite for Woodwind Quintet – Nine Songs from China is the featured piece of the concert and will make its premiere at the Waelderhaus. Performed by instrumentalists from the Sheboygan Symphony Orchestra, the suite will fuse elements of chamber music with the Far East and hints of American jazz. The remainder of the program will contain performances by each composer and a work for solo flute by composer Mark Mantel.
