Chairman Lipscomb Announces Committee Assignments
Standing committees typically meet every month, prior to the County Board meeting.
MILWAUKEE – County Board Chairman Theodore Lipscomb, Sr. announced committee assignments for the 2018– 2020 term today, including appointments of first time Supervisors Patti Logsdon, Felesia A. Martin, Sylvia Ortiz-Velez, and Steven Shea to serve as vice chairpersons of a committee.
“Leadership appointments to standing committees are made in the interest of fostering collaboration and striking a responsible balance. To encourage greater leadership opportunities within the Board, all newly elected supervisors are named as vice chairs of standing committees,” said Lipscomb.
Supervisor James “Luigi” Schmitt will serve as Chair of the Committee on Finance and Audit, which sets and adopts the annual county budget.

Supervisor Anthony Staskunas: Chair of Judiciary, Safety and General Services
Supervisor Eddie Cullen: Chair of Personnel
Supervisor Supreme Moore Omokunde: Chair of Health and Human Needs
Supervisor Willie Johnson, Jr.: Vice Chair of Finance and Audit
Supervisor Marina Dimitrijevic: Vice Chair of Personnel
Supervisor Dan Sebring: Vice Chair of Transportation, Public Works, and Transit
Supervisor Sheldon Wasserman: Vice Chair of Parks, Energy, and Environment
