Canadian Pacific Holiday Train Returns to Wauwatosa Village on December 9
Train stop will benefit Tosa Cares Food Pantry; aims to raise awareness of local food insecurity
WAUWATOSA, WISCONSIN, October 15, 2026—A beloved holiday tradition will return to the Milwaukee area when the Canadian-Pacific Holiday Train makes a stop in Wauwatosa Village. The train will be decked out in thousands of lights and will put on a live music show during its stop—all to benefit local food pantry Tosa Cares.
The Holiday Train will arrive at 4:00 pm on Wednesday, Dec. 9, stopping at the track crossing on Harwood Avenue just south of the Menomonee River.
During the stop, there will be a live performance by soul/R&B artist Allen Stone, and of course, Santa himself will make an appearance. The train will depart around 4:45 p.m.
Admission is free, but a donation of healthy, non-perishable food items or cash for Tosa Cares is requested. Donation collection sites during the event are:
• Intersection of State Street and Wauwatosa Avenue
• Intersection of State Street and Harmonee Avenue
• Homestead Realty—Harwood Avenue south of the train tracks
• Intersection of Harwood and Dewey, south of the train tracks
• Root Common Park, at the intersection of Harwood and Wauwatosa Avenues
“The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train is a beloved Wauwatosa tradition that brings the magic of the holiday season to families and people of all ages,” said Maria Panno, Director of the Village of Wauwatosa Business Improvement District. “Beyond the festive spirit, it also shines a light on food insecurity in our community and helps support local families in need during a time of year when that support matters most.”
At last year’s Holiday Train stop in Wauwatosa, Canadian Pacific donated $7,000 to Tosa Cares, plus the food pantry received almost 8,000 pounds of food and nearly $1,500 in cash donations from the community during the event.
Along with the Dec. 9 Holiday Train Stop, Wauwatosa will celebrate this year’s holiday season with:
• The Village Christmas Market, December 2-6 on Harwood Avenue north of the train tracks
• Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, starting at 5 pm on Dec. 2 at the Pocket Park at Harwood and Wauwatosa Avenues
• The Tosa Cookie Trail on Thursday, Dec. 3, from 4-8 pm
