Brittany Kinser Appointed to Wisconsins Early Literacy Curriculum Council
kids Win Wisconsin Founder and CEO to Help Guide State’s Literacy Reform Efforts
Milwaukee, WI — Brittany Kinser, Founder and CEO of Kids Win Wisconsin, has been appointed by Senate Majority Leader Devin LeMahieu to serve on Wisconsin’s Early Literacy Curriculum Council established under Act 20 in 2023.
“I’m thankful for the opportunity to continue this work for Wisconsin’s kids,” said Kinser. “I believe our children are capable of incredible things when adults lead with purpose and urgency. Wisconsin needs leaders who are unafraid to stand up for kids and demand results. That is the leadership I bring to this work, and I will not stop until 95% of children in our state can read with confidence.”
Kinser founded Kids Win Wisconsin to build a movement to restore high academic standards and end the state’s literacy crisis. As a teacher, principal, nonprofit leader, and statewide education advocate, she has dedicated her career to improving student outcomes and ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn to read and thrive.
“Wisconsin’s children deserve strong voices and steady leadership,” Kinser said. “I will continue to show up and do everything I can to make sure our schools have the tools and support they need to help every student reach their potential.”
“This is a moment to come together for Wisconsin’s kids,” said Kinser. “We have the knowledge, the tools, and the people to turn our literacy crisis around. What our children need now is leadership that stays focused, works together, and never gives up on them. That is the work I am here to do.”
