MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have agreed to terms with three selections from the 2021 First-Year Player Draft, including outfielder Sal Frelick (Round 1, 15th overall), second baseman Tyler Black (Competitive Balance Round A, 33rd overall) and third baseman Alex Binelas (Round 3, 86th overall).

The signings were announced by Vice President of Domestic Scouting Tod Johnson.

Frelick, 21, hit .359 with 6 HR and 27 RBI in 48 games as a junior at Boston College in 2021, earning All-ACC First Team and ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors. He was named to the Baseball America All-America Third Team and was a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award.

Undrafted out of Lexington High School (Mass.), Frelick was named All-ACC Second Team and to the ACC All-Freshman team in 2019 after hitting .367 with 4 HR and 32 RBI in 39 games with the Eagles. Frelick hit .241 with 2 HR and 4 RBI in 15 games as a sophomore during the pandemic-shortened 2020 season.

In 2020, Binelas started the first two games of the season before exiting the second game with a hand injury and missed the remaining 15 games before the season was halted.

In 2019, Binelas hit .291 with 14 HR and 59 RBI in 59 games, becoming the first Louisville freshman since Chris Dominguez in 2007 to hit 10 HR in a season.
