MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers have named infielder Eric Bitonti as Minor League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher K.C. Hunt as Minor League Pitcher of the Month for August.

The Brewers also named infielder Jesús Made as Complex League Player of the Month and right-handed pitcher Joshua Quezada as Complex League Pitcher of the Month.

Bitonti, 18, was promoted from the Rookie Arizona Complex League Brewers to Class-A Carolina on July 29. He hit a Carolina League-leading 7 HR in 21 games with the Mudcats in August. He also led the league in RBI (21) and ranked among leaders in slugging percentage (2nd, .494), total bases (3rd, 43) and extra-base hits (T3rd, 11).

Selected by Milwaukee in the third round of the 2023 First-Year Player Draft, Bitonti hit a pair of home runs on Aug. 2 vs. Charleston and again on Aug. 7 at Fredericksburg.

Hunt, 24, posted a 1.95 ERA (27.2ip, 6er) and 35 strikeouts with just 3 walks over 5 starts between Class-A Wisconsin (1gs) and Double-A Biloxi (4gs) in August. He made his final start with the Timber Rattlers on Aug. 2 vs. South Bend, working 5.0 scoreless innings (3h, 1bb, 6k).

After being promoted to Biloxi on Aug. 6, Hunt pitched to a 2.38 ERA (22.2ip, 6er) with 2 walks and 29 strikeouts in 4 starts in August. He closed the month with 6.1 scoreless frames (5h, 6k) vs. Montgomery on Aug. 30.

The Brewers signed Hunt as a non-drafted free agent out of Mississippi State University in July of 2023.

Made, 17, earned the organization’s Complex League Player of the Month award in each of the three months he played in this season. In 13 games in August with the DSL Brewers 1, Made posted a .439 on-base percentage and a .465 slugging percentage for a .904 OPS.

Quezada, 20, went 2-1 with a 2.79 ERA (9.2ip, 3er) and 11 strikeouts in 3 appearances (1 start) for the DSL Brewers 1 in August. He pitched 2.0 scoreless innings (2k, 1hbp) in relief on Aug. 2 at the DSL Padres Gold and threw 4.0 scoreless frames (3h, 1bb, 6k, 1hbp) out of the bullpen on Aug. 15 at the DSL Cubs Red.

The Brewers signed Made as a non-drafted free agent out of the Dominican Republic in January. Quezada was acquired from the Yankees in exchange for left-handed pitcher Clayton Andrews on Feb. 14.
