Brewers Launch Martin Luther King Jr. Day Poetry Contest
Wisconsin Students Encouraged to Honor MLK Jr.’s Legacy and Vision Through Poetry
MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers invite elementary, middle and high school students throughout Wisconsin to enter the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Poetry Contest, celebrating the life, legacy and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through original poetry, spoken word, or creative writing.
Three winners, one from each category of elementary, middle and high school, will be announced on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, January 20, 2025, on the Brewers social media channels. Each winner will receive recognition on the Brewers’ social media channels, a Brewers jersey, and four Field Level tickets to a Brewers home game during the 2025 season.
Submissions will be judged based on originality, technical skill and the ability to convey a unique voice or perspective. For more information and rules, visit brewers.com/BrewersShowcase.
Join the Brewers in honoring Dr. King’s legacy by inspiring the next generation to dream, write, and reflect on the power of his message.
