MILWAUKEE – The Milwaukee Brewers acquired first baseman/outfielder Jake Bauers from the New York Yankees in exchange for outfielders Jace Avina and Brian Sánchez. The announcement was made by Senior Vice President and General Manager Matt Arnold.

Bauers, 28, has played four Major League seasons with Tampa Bay (2018), Cleveland (2019, 2021), Seattle (2021) and New York-AL (2023).
