WisDems Chair on Justice Rebecca Bradley Not Seeking Re-Election

MADISON, Wis. — In response to Justice Rebecca Bradley not seeking re-election, WisDems Chair Devin Remiker released the following statement:

“Republicans are dead in the water as Trump’s assault on the working class continues. Rebecca Bradley saw that Wisconsinites resoundingly rejected a corporate takeover of our Supreme Court and knows that WisDems remains a juggernaut to support strong candidates like Susan Crawford, Janet Protasiewicz, and Jill Karofsky — and we are more than ready to do it again.

No matter who the far-right picks, their next candidate will join a long list of disappointments like Brad Schimel and Dan Kelly. Rumored sacrificial lamb Maria Lazar would be yet another corporate billionaire-funded disaster for Republicans, having been Scott Walker’s hand-picked minion to defend Act 10 and proudly touting endorsements from the Supreme Strangler David Prosser, Pro-Life Wisconsin, and the disbarred nutjob Michael Gableman.

WisDems will continue to build on our organizing so that we can help elect a Supreme Court Justice that will stand with the people of Wisconsin, not special interests or right-wing extremists.”

Justice Bradley served one disgraceful ten-year term on the Wisconsin State Supreme Court, where she has been a conservative mainstay for years, upholding an extreme, far-right agenda for Donald Trump and his MAGA cronies. From opposing fair maps to voting to dismantle reproductive freedoms, she’s gone above and beyond in her efforts to hurt Wisconsin.
