Braden Breaks 800m Indoor Record at GVSU Big Meet Friday
Senior has set three program records this indoor season
ALLENDALE, Michigan – Marquette University track & field competed at the GVSU Big Meet on Friday.
“It was a very productive day at the Big Meet,” Bert Rogers said. “Daylee’s record was the highlight, but we continue to see growth and improvement across the team. The distance squad really performed well with a number of big PRs. We are headed in the right direction with Big East two weeks away. “
Daylee Braden broke her own new program record in the indoor 800m at 2:07.34. It was the third sub two minute ten second 800m the senior has run this indoor season.
Emma Coon finished first in her section in her first indoor 5000m at 17:51.32. Logan Goodman finished fourth in the same event in his section at 15:11.13.
Audrey Grimm ran a PR in the mile at 5:07.84.
UP NEXT: Marquette continues action this weekend at the Dick Hendricks Invite in Ripon, Wisconsin on Saturday, Feb. 15.
