Beyond the Book Bag Carnival this Friday at 4pm

Since this is a back to school celebration, the first 500 attendees will receive a free book bag.

MILWAUKEE, WI– The Beyond the Book Bag Carnival celebration is this Friday, August 23, starting at 4:00 p.m. in Moody Park (2200 W. Burleigh). This event organized by COA Youth & Family Centers and community partners unites the community to celebrate the new school year and a summer of successful youth programming in Moody Park.

Since this is a back to school celebration, the first 500 attendees will receive a free book bag. Event activities include carnival games, a bounce house, face painting, lawn games and more! Families can also access resources from community partners including Safe & Sound, Zeidler Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, City of Milwaukee Health Department and Community Advocates.

Tom Schneider, COA’s Executive Director noted, “This great event is a kickoff celebration for the new school year, bringing together young and old, and providing a wide range of activities, games and free resources for families.”

This event is held in partnership with Safe & Sound, Amani United, Zeidler Center, Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin, Northwestern Mutual, City of Milwaukee Health Department, V-100.7 Jams, Carvd N Stone Inc., and Community Advocates.
