Behind the Headlines: The Status of the Streetcar

As part of its continuing effort to encourage in-depth analysis of the most important issues of the day, the Milwaukee Press Club is pleased to present its next Behind the Headlines topic.

With approvals secured, work on the controversial Milwaukee streetcar project is beginning this year.

So where did we end up, who is involved, and what should citizens of Milwaukee and downtown employees and visitors expect?  Join the Milwaukee Press Club for an update on the status of the streetcar.

What:             Three different representatives of this project will provide updates about streetcar project plans and status.

When:            Thursday, June 16, 2016, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM, lunch included (details below).

Where:           Johnson Controls Building Efficiency HQ – 507 E. Michigan St., Milwaukee

The event is open to the public, but all attendees must be pre-registered and bring photo ID for the Johnson Controls registration protocol.

Cost and Registration:

The cost to attend is $20 for MPC members, $25 for non-members.  Lunch is included. Seating will be limited.  Advanced registration and payment are required and may be done online at www.milwaukeepressclub.org. Checks may be mailed to the MPC at PO Box 176, North Prairie, WI  53153-0176.
