Bars & Recreation to Transform Former Punch Bowl Social Space into The New Fashioned, an Authentic Milwaukee Experience in Deer District
MILWAUKEE (Jan. 3, 2024) – Bars & Recreation, Milwaukee’s premier provider for entertainment, social events and team building activities, will breathe new life into the former Punch Bowl Social space in Deer District across from Fiserv Forum. The 25,000 square foot space will be called The New Fashioned and will feature local traditions, rediscovered in a modern, state-of-the-art facility in the heart of the downtown Deer District.
Poytinger is in discussions with area restauranteurs to partner on the project. Poytinger also noted that Bars & Recreation is currently hiring several key leadership roles in sales, marketing, social media, food & beverage and operations to support the new venue.
“I’m so proud to be growing this company again, especially after the challenges of the last few years in this industry,” said Poytinger. “Between The New Fashioned project and our West Allis expansion, we’ll be adding 35,000 square feet of prime hospitality space to our diverse portfolio – just prior to what is sure to be an incredible summer in Milwaukee.”
“We are so excited to partner with Bars & Recreation on bringing The New Fashioned to Deer District,” said Michael Belot, Senior Vice President of Bucks Ventures and Development. “Deer District is continuously redefining downtown Milwaukee as a destination for both the community and tourists, and we are thrilled to welcome the first woman-owned small business to Deer District.”
Further details about the concept and its unique features will be unveiled during a joint press conference with the Milwaukee Bucks on Jan. 24. In the interim, information can be found online at www.newfashionedmke.com and www.DeerDistrict.com.
