Bars & Recreation Raises a Glass to Dry January

Sober-friendly zero-proof cocktails feature premium non-alcoholic spirits and local mixers

Milwaukee, WI – [December 30, 2024]Bars & Recreation is proud to announce its commitment to supporting sober lifestyles throughout January. All five Bars & Recreation locations are embracing Dry January with a selection of delicious and creative mocktails, featuring premium non-alcoholic spirits and refreshing mixers.

“We believe everyone should be able to enjoy an inclusive experience at all our venues, regardless of their beverage choices,” said Lauren Upson, Director of Food & Beverage. “Our goal is to provide a welcoming place for everyone, and we are excited to showcase the exciting world of non-alcoholic beverages.”

Bars & Recreation venues feature a curated selection of three signature zero-proof cocktails, crafted with a focus on flavor and creativity. These refreshing beverages utilize high-quality non-alcoholic spirits by Damrak Non-Alcoholic Gin and others, complemented by a variety of fresh juices, fruits, and herbs. The zero-proof cocktails are:

Sun-Kissed Tonic
Gin Alternative, Tonic Water, Splash Orange Juice & Fresh Orange

Paradise Cran-Apple Mule
Apple Vodka Alternative, Fresh Lime Juice, Cranberry Juice & Ginger Beer

Island Breeze Punch
Spiced Rum Alternative, Pineapple Juice, Orange Juice, Fresh Lime Juice, Grenadine & Club Soda

To further enhance the non-alcoholic offerings, all Bars & Recreation locations feature a selection of refreshing Sprecher craft sodas, including Cream Soda, Orange Dream, and Root Beer.

Dry January began in 2013 as a public health initiative by British charity Alcohol Change UK which focused on reducing harm caused by alcohol. Now millions world-wide take part in this health challenge by taking a one-month break from drinking alcohol.

Bars & Recreation invites everyone to experience Milwaukee’s vibrant nightlife scene this January.
