MILWAUKEE Bader Rutter has been selected as the new agency of record for the Pioneer® brand in the U.S. The nearly century-old seed brand is a leading component of DowDuPont, which was formed by the 2017 merger of Dow AgroSciences and DuPont. The Agriculture Division of DowDuPont will be branded as Corteva Agriscience when it spins, as intended, as a standalone Agriculture Company in 2019. Corteva Agriscience, Agriculture Division of DowDuPont, has leading positions in seed technologies, crop protection and digital agriculture. Pioneer is the company’s global flagship seed brand with an industry leading, unique product portfolio. Bader Rutter is the incumbent agency of record for Dow AgroSciences and earned the DuPont Crop Protection business late last year.

“From the beginning of the agency search process, the Bader Rutter team demonstrated excellent marketplace knowledge, strategic insights, tactical execution capabilities and a successful track record with Corteva Agriscience Crop Protection and other industry-leading ag clients,” said Doug Reynolds, Corteva Agriscience U.S. Marketing & Digital Communications leader. “Their passion for agriculture is contagious and we appreciate their strong desire to work with Pioneer.”

Pioneer was founded in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1926, by Henry A. Wallace. In the decades since, Pioneer has become an international leader in hybrid technologies.

“Our decades of agricultural experience have primed us to not only understand the honor it will be to represent Pioneer but to also know the significant challenges and opportunities the industry faces,” said Tom Posta, Bader Rutter account director overseeing Corteva Agriscience brands and executive leadership team member. “Our teams thrive on these business-transforming situations.”

Bader Rutter, founded in 1974, is the largest agricultural marketing agency in the country. The employee-owned agency’s experience includes work in agriculture, technology, manufacturing, insurance and financial services, home and office furnishings and associations, and a client roster that includes Corteva Agriscience, Zoetis, Kent Nutrition Group, Compeer Financial, The Standard, Sauder furniture, Case IH, Northwestern Mutual, Zoro Tools, ORBIS and more.

“Our business was built for this,” said Greg Nickerson, BR chairman. “Personally, I’m very proud that we can bring this opportunity to our team, who have long known the importance of the brand.” Bader Rutter will officially begin the partnership with the Pioneer brand August 1.
