Alderman Mark Chambers, Jr. is inviting residents to his second annual Back to School Festival, which will be held (rain or shine) at Indigenous People’s Park, 7301 W. Courtland Ave. on Sunday, August 25th from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

There will also be free hair braiding and haircuts available on a first-come, first-served basis. There will also be resources available for parents returning their children to school, including a giveaway of free book bags and school supplies (while supplies last), health screenings and opportunities to connect with members of the Milwaukee Health Department.

The Back to School Festival is presented by Alderman Chambers, Milwaukee Health Services, Walmart, The Office of African American Affairs, MPD District 7, Milwaukee Professional Firefighters local 215, and the City of Milwaukee.
