Anytime Arepa Opens at 3rd St. Market Hall

Milwaukee, WI – 3^rd St. Market Hall announced today that new vendor Anytime Arepa has opened at the downtown market hall.

The market hall’s newest vendor makes authentic arepas, empanadas, and fried plantains with recipes from their family’s home in Venezuela. Making these specialties isn’t new to owners Leo Farfan and Maria Salas. They’ve been running an Anytime Arepa food truck in the Zócalo Food Truck Park since April of 2020 and conducted pop-ups at various farmers markets in the years leading up to that.

Since gaining success in the food truck business, Farfan and Salas have been eager to open a larger location. “We were looking for a base kitchen and of course 3^rd St. Market Hall was the perfect fit for us,” said Farfan.

The lack of Venezuelan fare in Milwaukee and their passion for the food they cook lead Farfan and Salas to opening Anytime Arepa. “We’re trying to spread our culture around the Milwaukee area,” said Farfan. “We are passionate about what we do, and we’ve been very lucky that people love it.”

The market hall is excited to add Anytime Arepa to its growing list of vendors. “We’re glad Anytime Arepa chose the market hall to open their brick-and-mortar restaurant,” said 3^rd St. Market Hall’s Marketing Director, Alaina Kallas. “Their passion is reflected in their food, and we’re excited for our guests to taste that.”
