Coffee, Donuts, and New Earlier Hours Launched at 3rd St. Market Hall

Milwaukee, WI – 3^rd St. Market Hall announced that new vendor, Supernova Coffee & Doughnuts is now open at the downtown market hall. The market hall also announced its new morning hours of 8am Monday through Friday and 9am Saturday and Sunday.

3^rd St. Market Hall’s newest vendor is brewing specialty coffee drinks featuring a custom blend from Anodyne Coffee Roasters and other café beverages like chai and matcha lattes. They’re also serving a variety of scratch-made classic and innovative donuts. The coffee and donut shop features an outdoor walk-up window as well as counter service inside of the market hall.

Although this is the first Supernova location, it isn’t the first coffee shop Sara Lewkowski and Aaron Ruiz have co-owned. Lewkowski and Ruiz have been running The Avenue coffee house in South Milwaukee for the past 5 and a half years. The idea behind Supernova budded at their coffee house and at the Milwaukee Area Technical College, where Sara studied to become a pastry chef.

While in at MATC, Lewkowski was inspired by one of her culinary instructors, Kurt Fogle, who was gearing up to open his own 3^rd St. Market Hall endeavor, Dairyland Old Fashioned Frozen Custard & Hamburgers. “I’m very passionate when it comes to food,” said Lewkowski. “I want to put out the best tasting product possible. We want to serve donuts that leave you wanting more and wanting to come back.”

“Supernova’s opening was highly anticipated,” said 3^rd St. Market Hall Operations Director Jaime Jacobs. “People living and working in the neighborhood have been craving coffee and breakfast offerings and an earlier open for the market hall. We are thrilled to finally deliver that.”

In addition to Supernova, other market hall vendors are beginning to shift their operating hours as well. Valor Urban Market opened earlier starting last Friday and Mid-Way Bakery plans to follow suit in the upcoming weeks.

Supernova opens on weekdays 8am and weekends at 9am directly next to the main Wisconsin Avenue entrance of the market hall.
