Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter Celebrates the Success of the 2024 Discovery Driving Hope Gala

MILWAUKEE, WI, MARCH 13, 2024 – The Alzheimer’s Association Wisconsin Chapter is pleased to announce the triumphant conclusion of its 2024 Discovery Driving Hope fundraising gala, held on Tuesday, March 12th at Discovery World on Milwaukee’s picturesque lakefront. This remarkable event, embraced by an outpouring of community support, marks yet another extraordinary stride in the ongoing battle against Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
Gathering esteemed guests, dedicated supporters, passionate volunteers, and influential leaders in the healthcare industry, the gala served as a beacon of hope for those affected by Alzheimer’s, showcasing the unwavering commitment to advancing research, providing essential resources, and nurturing a community founded on compassion and support.
Jay Hill, VP of Advanced Technology at GE HealthCare and honorary chair of the gala, echoed the sentiment of progress, emphasizing, “The advancements in Alzheimer’s treatment and diagnostic tools herald a new dawn of hope. Together, we are forging pathways toward a future free from the grips of this disease.”
The 2024 Discovery Driving Hope gala, presented by GE HealthCare, welcomed over 350 distinguished guests who came together to support and celebrate groundbreaking research and vital programs and services provided by the Alzheimer’s Association. These initiatives include support groups, family and individual care consultation, education and training, safety services, and a 24/7 Helpline, all aimed at assisting individuals and families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
The evening commenced at 5 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, live music, and a silent auction showcasing themed baskets representing communities across Wisconsin. As the night unfolded, the generosity of our attendees shone through, with the Alzheimer’s Association proudly projecting a total of more than $275,000 dollars raised—an incredible testament to the community’s dedication to our cause.
