Alderwoman Coggs to host virtual Black History Month Read-In
February is Black History Month, and Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs invites parents and children to attend the virtual Black History Month Read-In Zoom Webinar on Saturday, February 27th at 12:00 p.m. (CST).
“Hosting this Black History Month Read-In each year is a great opportunity for so many to join in and learn about the trials and triumphant stories for young people in the Black community,” said Alderwoman Coggs. “Although we will not be joining physically, this virtual event will expand the range of people who are able to attend the event and will further educate people on the importance of Black History Month. A special treat for all the children and families who join us this year is that many of the participants are authors of the book they will be reading.”
The Black History Month Read-In is free and open to everyone. Participants are asked to sign up for the virtual event using the link Webinar Registration – Zoom.
