By - Oct 28th, 2022 01:18 pm

Alderwoman Milele A. Coggs is pleased to announce the winners of the 6th District Landscape Awards, a special recognition for outstanding residential garden or landscaping efforts throughout the 6th District. Nominations were received from all parts of the 6th District, and the 2022 winners are Shadeed M. Shareef from the North Division neighborhood, and Minnie Howard from the Williamsburg Heights neighborhood. Honorable mentions this year include Bethany and Jonathan Rasio of the Brewer’s Hill neighborhood, and Kimberly Pierce from the Arlington Heights neighborhood.

“I want to thank all of the participants who submitted applications for this year’s landscape awards. While we select two winners annually, it is clear from all the submissions that many residents and households across the district take pride in their landscaping. All of those who take the time to beautify their neighborhood by maintaining creative and attractive landscaping on their property help make our district, and the community at large, a better place to live, work and visit,” said Alderwoman Coggs.

Alderwoman Coggs has long been committed to consistently supporting and encouraging the beautification and improvement of neighborhoods, and the 6th District Landscape Awards are a part of her Clean City Project.
