AG Kaul Issues Statement On Reports That President Trump Plans To Sign Executive Order Aimed At Dismantling Department of Education
MADISON, Wis. – Attorney General Josh Kaul today issued the below statement in response to news reports that President Donald Trump is expected to sign an executive order today aimed at dismantling the Department of Education.
“Shutting down the Department of Education would mean taking from our kids’ educations to give more money to folks like Elon Musk,” said AG Kaul. “We filed suit last week to block the Trump administration’s shameful attempt to dismantle the Department of Education, and we won’t back down from protecting its vital role in supporting access to quality education. As Donald Trump continues trying to sabotage critical institutions, we’re going to keep stepping up to stop his actions that would weaken America.”More information about AG Kaul’s response to the Trump administration’s reported plans to dismantle the Department of Education can be found here and here.
