Racine Man Charged With Six Counts of Possession of Child Pornography

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Justice, Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) announced that Benjamin J. Rattle, age 37, of Racine, Wis., has been charged with six felony counts of possession of child pornography. Mr. Rattle was arrested on Tuesday, March 24, and booked into the Kenosha County Jail.

The criminal complaint, filed by the Racine County District Attorney’s Office, alleges that Mr. Rattle possessed an electronic folder containing a significant number of images and videos depicting child sexual assault material (CSAM). As alleged in the complaint, the CSAM included children of pubescent and prepubescent age.

These charges are merely accusations. As in any criminal case, the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

This investigation was led by DCI. The Racine County District Attorney’s Office is prosecuting the case.
