ACLU of Wisconsin Condemns Expansion of Trump’s Travel Ban
Madison – The ACLU of Wisconsin today condemned President Trump’s decision to expand his executive order to ban people from six additional countries from entering the United States.
“President Trump’s divisive and harmful expansion of his discriminatory travel ban is an affront to our shared values that harms innocent people,” said Chris Ott, ACLU of Wisconsin executive director. “Discrimination is not a Wisconsin value. The ACLU of Wisconsin will continue to defend the rights of all people against racist and discriminatory policies and work towards a future where everyone is welcome, and everyone is free. We encourage all Wisconsinites to know their rights and contact us if they believe those rights have been violated.”
The original Muslim travel ban was put into place over three years ago, and the ACLU has been forcefully working to block the ban throughout that time.
