A Welcomed Return: Acacia’s Miss Bennet: Christmas at Pemberley
MILWAUKEE (November 12, 2024) – A sequel to Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice set two years after the novel ends, Acacia’s production is, in the words of Total Theater, “a wonderful and not-to-be-missed trip back to an English Christmas in 1815.” Bennet continues the story of Pride, but with studious middle-sister, Mary, struggling against her family’s expectations and the fear that she does not deserve a companion. When everyone gathers for Christmas at Pemberley, an unexpected guest brings new possibilities, inspiring kindness in each member of the family and the realization that love can be not just a duty, but a joy.
Anyone seeking “funny, G-rated holiday entertainment will be delighted” (Total Theater) by Miss Bennet, and with Acacia’s commitment to make theatre more accessible, they can. All tickets are Pay-What-You-Can and can be purchased at www.acaciatheatre.com or by calling 414-744-5995.
