5-County Fridays with the Milwaukee Brewers
"September 7th and 28th are the last days to take advantage of the 5-County Fridays deal."
Madison – Today State Senator Tim Carpenter (D-Milwaukee) would like to remind the people of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington, and Waukesha Counties of the great opportunity to take part in Milwaukee Brewers 5-County Fridays, allowing them a chance to see a Brewers game while saving 50% of the price on their tickets.
“September 7th and 28th are the last days to take advantage of the 5-County Fridays deal, where residents of the 5 counties that make up the Professional Baseball Park District can enjoy a game at half price while the Brewers are in the hunt for the playoffs. It’s a great deal that was created as a way for the Milwaukee Brewers to give something back to the people of this area for their ongoing contributions to the team.”
“When the Miller Park deal was being debated in the State Legislature, I offered an amendment to get some relief and reward for the people of the five counties who would end up paying a sales tax to pay off the bonds used to construct the new stadium. The people of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington, and Waukesha counties are still paying the tax, despite the fact that it was promised to be paid off in 2014, and despite several proposals that I have introduced to the Legislature to sunset this apparently endless source of revenue.”
