45 Years of the Cafe Hollander Otto Wenz Downer Classic

Milwaukee, WI (June, 2024) – Returning to the Historic Downer Avenue Business Improvement District on Saturday, June 22^nd, the Café Hollander Otto Wenz Downer Classic bike race presented by ISCorp, is set and ready to roll!  Downer is excited to one again be a host city for the largest cycling event in the country, Kwik Trip Tour of America’s Dairyland.  On day 10 of the 11-day tour, Downer Avenue will welcome 500 cyclists from around the country and abroad as they compete for prizes and primes, reaching speeds up to 35 mph!

For the second year in a row, the Café Hollander Otto Wenz Downer Classic will include a 1-mile running race, the Dairyland Mile hosted by Infinity Running. During the community hour, the Kid’s Roll will also play a part in the entertainment for the day with a decoration station, sponsored by Lake Park Dental and Untethered (don’t forget your helmets!) along with Bel Air Cantina. To reward the participants, Culver’s will be providing ice cream!

Café Hollander will keep the momentum going with food and drinks on Hackett Avenue.  The Classic promises an electric energy that will be shared across all racing categories. Tight turns and a big party at the finish makes the Downer Classic the perfect summer event for racers and spectators alike!
