(MILWAUKEE, WISCONSIN, August 13, 2018) – McKinley Marina Boat Owners Association ( McBoat ), Milwaukee Community Sailing Center ( MCSC ) and Milwaukee County Parks are excited to invite the public to the 2nd Annual Milwaukee Venetian Boat Parade on August 18, 2018! The parade of up to 20 power and sailboats decorated with lights and other creative additions will begin at 8 pm. The boats will make their way through McKinley Marina past the Milwaukee Community Sailing Center and along an eastern portion of Veteran’s Park. Participating boats will be competing for top honors in front of a distinguished panel of judges at a reviewing stand at the Sailing Center. “The Venetian Boat Parade is another free opportunity for families to enjoy our amazing lakefront and take in our emerging new skyline from Veterans Park,” said Holly Church, MCSC Director.

The Sailing Center will provide food and drink concessions as well as prime viewing areas and open to the general public. In addition to the Sailing Center, O’Donnell Point and the East Sea wall of Veterans Park will provide excellent opportunities for families to enjoy this free event as well as additional food and beverage options.
