Company Looking to Hire Full-Time and Part-Time Positions in Anticipation of Summer Opening of New In-Theatre Dining Entertainment Concept

Milwaukee, June 1, 2017…Marcus Theatres®, a division of The Marcus Corporation, today announced that it is looking to hire 150 full-time and part-time positions within the next month in anticipation of the opening of the new BistroPlex, in Greendale, Wis. Slated to open June 30, 2017, the new dining and movie entertainment concept located adjacent to Southridge Mall will be the company’s first theatre featuring in-theatre dining in every auditorium.
“BistroPlex is designed to create an incredible food and beverage experience at all touch points – from the in-theatre dining auditoriums to the bar and lounge where guests can enjoy cocktails and food before or after the show. With a focus on providing culinary creations with a local flair, we are seeking the best talent with a spirit to serve, as we unveil this entertainment and dining destination to our guests,” said Rolando Rodriguez, chairman, president and chief executive officer of Marcus Theatres. “This will be the first theatre of its kind in the Milwaukee area, creating a significant impact on the local community and surrounding neighborhoods. We look forward to contributing to the vitality of the city and welcoming guests to our newest theatre this summer.”
Opening June 30, BistroPlex is the restaurant that serves movies. It will feature eight in-theatre dining auditoriums with DreamLounger℠ recliners, including two SuperScreen DLX® auditoriums with oversized screens and heated seats, plus a separate, full-service bar/lounge for a complete dining and moviegoing experience under one roof.
Guests will be able to enjoy a specially prepared menu using fresh, locally sourced ingredients that will include appetizers, sandwiches, pizza, desserts, specialty cocktails and more. Popular movie theatre snacks like popcorn, candy and soda will be available at BistroPlex, but not through a traditional concession stand. Guests will simply place their order for these favorites with their server, who will deliver food, beverages and concessions items directly to their seats.
Marcus Theatres BistroPlex Hiring Center Now Open Seven Days a Week
Marcus Theatres has opened a BistroPlex Hiring Center for those interested in joining the BistroPlex team. New employees are needed for culinary positions, including cooks, servers, bartenders, food runners, dishwashers and more. Prospective employees can visit the BistroPlex Hiring Center, located in the Southridge Mall on the upper level between Kohl’s and Sears, seven days a week to talk to management about available job opportunities and apply on-site for open positions. Management will also conduct interviews at the hiring center seven days a week, prior to the opening of BistroPlex. Hours are Monday – Saturday, 10 AM-8 PM, and Sunday 11 AM-6 PM.
