Gather with ArtWorks supporters at Ivy House on Thursday, September 11, for Painting a Bright Future – a one-of-a-kind event featuring live painting, a silent auction of art and other goods, and interactive experiences, including a VIP experience in co-creating a work of art with teaching artist and ArtWorks board member Melva Darrough.

Experience poetry readings from ArtWorks alumni and partners, and enjoy music, food, drinks, and a photo booth, all for the good cause of painting a bright future for youth.

This event will inspire you to ask yourself, what is the bright future I envision for youth in our community?

Here’s what you need to know:
Evening Flow:
5 p.m. – VIP Guests Arrive and participate in interactive art experience | Get your VIP ticket here.
6 p.m. – Event starts with a cash bar and heavy appetizers available to all guests. Silent Auction opens. Local artists Deborah Brooks, Lyric Reade and Zakia Wells create live paintings in the moment.
7 p.m. – Brief program including a poetry reading by ArtWorks alum, Lydia Allen!
8 p.m. – Bidding on art pieces created by our three featured artists during the event. Silent Auction closes
9 p.m. – Event ends
