DESCRIPTION:Gather with ArtWorks supporters at Ivy House on Thursday\, September 11\, for Painting a Bright Future – a one-of-a-kind event featuring live painting\, a silent auction of art and other goods\, and interactive experiences\, including a VIP experience in co-creating a work of art with teaching artist and ArtWorks board member Melva Darrough. \nExperience poetry readings from ArtWorks alumni and partners\, and enjoy music\, food\, drinks\, and a photo booth\, all for the good cause of painting a bright future for youth. \nThis event will inspire you to ask yourself\, what is the bright future I envision for youth in our community? \nHere’s what you need to know:\nEvening Flow:\n5 p.m. – VIP Guests Arrive and participate in interactive art experience | Get your VIP ticket here.\n6 p.m. – Event starts with a cash bar and heavy appetizers available to all guests. Silent Auction opens. Local artists Deborah Brooks\, Lyric Reade and Zakia Wells create live paintings in the moment.\n7 p.m. – Brief program including a poetry reading by ArtWorks alum\, Lydia Allen!\n8 p.m. – Bidding on art pieces created by our three featured artists during the event. Silent Auction closes\n9 p.m. – Event ends\nAttire: Business Casual \nPainting a Bright Future will be a fun night that celebrates the power of art and our Milwaukee community!
