In a spellbinding tale of passion gone awry, the alluring Carmen draws the attention of two dangerous men, leading to jealousy and obsession with deadly consequences.
Mark Godden’s Carmen is a gritty story of tantalizing sexuality and fierce independence performed to the iconic score by Rodion Shchedrin, inspired by Georges Bizet’s opera.
The performance will open with a new work by choreographer Tsai Hsi Hung, winner of the 2024 Genesis International Choreographic Competition.
This performance will take place at the Pabst Theater from May 16-18. Tickets start at $40.
