In this intimate coming of age story set in the Parisian suburbs, Marieme is looking to escape her abusive family situation. She changes her name, her dress code, and quits school. Hanging out with her three new girlfriends, and living under the protection of an older man, she realizes that her new found freedom comes with a price. Opening Film, Directors’ Fortnight, Cannes 2014.
