The exterior is clad in Lac du Bonnet Granite from Lac du Bonnet, Manitoba by the Cold Spring Granite Company. The pink granite is matched with pink tinted windows, which give the building a distinctive color.
The parking garage portion of the building is owned by the City of Milwaukee, with 1,542 stalls (tax key: 3922421000, official address 1024 N. Water St.). The retail units, owned by AAP Properties, are also held in a separate tax key, 3922422000, and consist of 20,505 square feet of space. The retail units had a 2012 assessed value of $766,000 and an address of 1040 N. Water St.
An additional parcel includes office and retail space in the building, it is owned by Beverly Hills Properties I LLC (also owned by Anthony Palermo) with a tax key of 3922423000 and an address of 1010 N. Water St. The parcel includes 11,860 square feet of space and had a 2012 assessment of $1,282,000.
The building faced a foreclosure suit early in its history, after which it was purchased by Citigroup at a sheriff’s auction. After that, Palermo bought the building.
