MILWAUKEE (July 9, 2026)Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) now offers Premium Bag Check service to help streamline the travel experience for MKE passengers. In partnership with Metropolis’ fully integrated airport mobility platform, this launch is part of MKE’s ongoing efforts to enhance the passenger experience through technology and customer-focused amenities.

With Premium Bag Check, Metropolis’ baggage solutions brand, MKE travelers can now drop off checked luggage near the Airport Information Desk and skip the airline ticket counter. This service is designed to save time and make travel at MKE even more efficient, especially during peak travel periods. The fee to use the service is just $4 per bag (airline baggage fees still apply).

“As we continue investing in the future of travel at MKE, it’s important that we provide services that make the journey easier, more convenient, and more seamless for our passengers,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik. “Our partnership with Metropolis and the introduction of Premium Bag Check reflects our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that enhance the traveler experience while strengthening Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport’s position as a modern gateway for Wisconsin. We’re excited to bring this service to our passengers just in time for the busy summer travel season.”

MKE’s new premium bag check service is available to travelers flying on Southwest Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Frontier Airlines, and operates daily from 3 a.m. to 11 a.m.
