MILWAUKEE (August 19, 2026) – Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) is celebrating its 100th anniversary, and to mark a century of unforgettable travel moments, the airport is inviting the community to take part in a special “Fly Down Memory Lane” Contest.

For 100 years, MKE has been the backdrop for countless stories, emotional reunions, first-time flyers, family vacations, and milestone adventures. Now, MKE wants to hear those stories. Two lucky winners will each receive $500 in free flights from MKE simply for sharing their most memorable airport moment. Participants are encouraged to get creative with their entries. Whether it’s a cherished family photo, a video capturing a special trip, or even an original piece of art inspired by MKE, all formats are welcome. Entrants can express their memories through music, poetry, artwork, or humor. The more creative, the better.

How to Enter:
✔ Post a photo, carousel, or video to Instagram or Facebook by September 14
✔ Tag @mitchellairport
✔ Use #FlyDownMemoryLaneMKE100 in your caption
✔ Set your profile to public so the entry is visible

“MKE Airport has been part of personal journeys for generations,” said Airport Director Brian Dranzik. “This contest is a way to celebrate the people who have made our airport a part of their lives and to honor the many memories made here over the past century.”

The winners will be selected based on creativity, storytelling, and connection to MKE’s legacy. Full contest details are available on MKE Airport’s official social media channels.
