Summerfest Announces Return of Pickleball Village Presented by CD One Price Cleaners With Free Play, Clinics, Celebrity Tournament, and More
MILWAUKEE, WI – Summerfest presented by American Family Insurance is bringing back the popular Pickleball Village, which will be located on the north end of the festival grounds, The interactive space, will feature free play, professional instruction, a celebrity tournament, new charity contest, and vendor experiences. As part of its expanded presence in the Milwaukee area, CD One Price Cleaners joins Summerfest as a new sponsor of Pickleball Village, coinciding with the launch of six new local laundry and dry cleaning locations this spring and summer.
The CD One Price Cleaners Pickleball Village will have two courts offering free open play for festivalgoers of all skill level each day of Summerfest. Fans can also participate in interactive clinics and live demonstrations led by professional pickleball players, giving beginners an easy introduction to the sport and providing experienced players the chance to refine their skills. Fans who resister to play for free will receive a free Summerfest and CD One Price Cleaners branded cooling towel, while supplies last.
Celebrity Pickleball Tournament
Be sure to check out this year’s Celebrity Pickleball Tournament at Summerfest on June 19, June 25, and July 2 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., organized and produced by Milwaukee-based sports marketing and event agency TEAM LAMMI.
Local personalities including business executives, civic leaders, professional coaches, and media personalities,will compete for bragging rights on the courts.
Charity Pickleball Contest
A new addition this year from TEAM LAMMI is the Serve, Drop & Dink Charity Pickleball Contest. For a $10 donation, participants will get to show off their pickleball skills with five serves, five drop shots and five dinks to win points. The three participants with the highest scores throughout the nine days of Summerfest will win an autographed mini-helmet signed by Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver. All the money raised from will benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee. The contest will be offered at 3:00 p.m. each day during Summerfest.
Pickleball Village Vendors
Various vendors can also be found at Pickleball Village including Prolite Sports, USA Pickleball, Pickleball Kingdom Menomonee Falls, and Centerline Athletics.
