MILWAUKEE (May 29, 2026) – Visit Milwaukee and Marquette University are teaming up with basketball icons Dwyane Wade, Travis Diener and their families to launch the Wade & Diener Home Court Weekend, a multi-day series of community-focused events celebrating Milwaukee’s basketball culture, hospitality scene and commitment to youth development.
Set for July 16–17, 2026, Home Court Weekend will bring together community leaders, business executives, basketball fans and families for exclusive experiences rooted in philanthropy and civic pride. Proceeds from the weekend will support the Tragil Wade-Johnson Summer Reading Program at Marquette University, the Visit Milwaukee Foundation and other Marquette initiatives.
The weekend highlights Milwaukee’s unique intersection of sports, culture, hospitality and community impact while creating opportunities to invest in the next generation through youth development and literacy initiatives.
Visit Milwaukee is also proud to already be partnering with the Wade family through the inaugural Wade Scholars program. Kennedi Luckett, a student at Marquette University and intern at Visit Milwaukee, was selected as the program’s first Wade Scholar, further strengthening the shared commitment to mentorship, education and opportunity for Milwaukee students.
