Shorewood BID Announces Inaugural Shorewood Art Walk on May 14, 2026

Shorewood, WI (April, 2026) – The Shorewood Business Improvement District (BID), in partnership with the Shorewood Public Arts Committee, is proud to announce the first-ever Shorewood Art Walk, taking place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
This new community event invites residents and visitors to experience Shorewood’s rich business district in a unique and engaging way. During the Art Walk, local businesses throughout the district will host visual artists and performance artists, transforming storefronts and spaces into lively showcases of local talent.
Guests are encouraged to stroll along Oakland Avenue, Capitol Drive, and surrounding streets, stopping into participating businesses to explore artwork, enjoy live performances, and connect with Shorewood’s thriving artistic community. The event is free and open to the public.
“We are thrilled to introduce the Shorewood Art Walk as a new way to celebrate both our local businesses and the incredible artists who bring creativity to our community,” said Janet Henning, Executive Director of the Shorewood BID. “This event is all about cultivating an inviting, walkable experience where people can discover something new, support local, and enjoy the arts in an accessible and welcoming setting”.
A wide range of Shorewood businesses and organizations will participate in the inaugural event, each paired with local artists and performers. Participating locations include Wonderland Bookshop, Foxhole Craft Beer Shop & Kitchen, North Shore Pharmacy, Alliance Française de Milwaukee, Posh Collective, Shorewest Realtors, Stone House Collective, (se)®LAB, Milwaukee Brat House–Shorewood, Ascension Shorewood, SHOP, Milwaukee Irish Dance, Fiddleheads Coffee, The Workroom, Corner Bakery Cafe, North Shore Bank, Metro Market Shorewood, School of Rock, Hive Orthodontics, Outside Architecture, St. Moritz Salon, Edward Jones – Craig Bulluck, Draft & Vessel, Olson House, SKNBAR Rx, Three Lions Pub, OAK + LINEN, and Love Cafe.
