Governor Evers Approves WIS 83 Resurfacing and Improvement Project in Waukesha County
To invest in Wisconsin’s transportation system, Governor Evers has approved a $2.6 million resurfacing and improvement project along WIS 83 (Wales Road), between Glacier Pass and Perkins Road, Waukesha County. Payne & Dolan is the prime contractor for the project. Construction is scheduled to begin the week of March 9.
Improvements include:
- Resurface WIS 83 (Wales Road) within project limits
- Curb ramp and sidewalk improvements within corridor
- Polymer overlay on bridge deck over Glacier Drumlin State Trail
Traffic Impacts:
WIS 83 (Wales Road) will remain open to traffic in both direction during construction. Motorists can anticipate long-term single lane closures, flagging operations during certain stages of construction, and minimal overnight full closures at roundabouts.
Work is scheduled for completion in summer 2026. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.
