Biosecurity Premises Mapping Workshops Available

MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP), in partnership with the University of Wisconsin–Madison Division of Extension, is offering a series of no cost, hands‑on workshops to help veterinarians, livestock producers, and others strengthen their on‑farm and on-site biosecurity practices and protect animal health.

Participants will learn practical strategies to defend animals from disease by managing movement to, within, and from their operations. Each session will guide attendees through drafting a premises map which is an essential tool for emergency response and day‑to‑day biosecurity planning. Attendees will leave with a map draft in hand.

Pre‑registration is required. Space is limited, and registration closes one week before each session. Workshops are offered throughout the state, and more sessions are planned for later in the year.
