Join neighbors for the Atkinson Branch Community Gathering

Alderwoman Andrea M. Pratt invites community members to attend the Community Gathering event set for next week at the Atkinson Branch of the Milwaukee Public Library, located at 1960 W. Atkinson Ave. The event will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Monday, December 29.

The FREE event will feature engagement stations and free food (while supplies last).

“Community building can be festive and positive, especially during the holidays,” Alderwoman Pratt said. “I strongly encourage everyone to come out to the Atkinson Branch on Monday and join us for some great food, fun and fellowship.”

The engagement stations will include:

• Neighborhood Shout Outs – Recognize an individual or business who has made a positive difference in the community. Fill out a special card to be displayed in our entry area.
• Library Card Check-Ins – Stop by the circulation desk to get an update on your library card status.
• Great Reads for Winter Break – Check out some interesting titles to read during your off time.
• Movie Binge – See the list of top movie checkouts from 2025. Pick out some titles to binge watch.
• Arts and Crafts – Enjoy making an art project to take home.
• DYI Bingo Cards – Create your own bingo card listing things you want to do in 2026. Challenge yourself to accomplish those goals and win your own personal bingo.
• We Connect – Chat with neighbors using conversation prompts.
