Milwaukee — Peg Schrader is the newly-elected Board President of the League of Women Voters of Milwaukee County (LWVMC). She was elected at the annual meeting of the membership, held on May 31.

Schrader joined LWVMC in 2019 and has served on its board of directors as Vice President of Voter Services, which coordinates voter registration and education programs. LWVMC is an all-volunteer, nonpartisan grassroots organization with 460 members. Schrader replaces outgoing President Nancy Maloney, whose two-year term expired June 30.

Schrader holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work and an MBA from DePaul University. Her career included senior management positions at several non-profit organizations, including DePaul Rehabilitation Hospital, Goodwill, and Elder Care Line Incorporated. She later served as Business Development Manager for Laidlaw Transit Services, an international company. Following retirement, Schrader continued her business development work as a consultant.
